What Is Family Lifestyle Photography?
Family lifestyle photography is all about capturing your family as you really are.
Instead of focusing solely on traditional posed portraits, lifestyle sessions combine natural moments with gentle direction. I'll help you feel comfortable in front of the camera while giving your children the freedom to be themselves.
Sessions can take place outdoors in one of Hampshire's beautiful locations or in the comfort of your own home. The result is a collection of natural, authentic photographs that tell the story of your family at this moment in time.
What Happens During a Family Photography Session?
You don't need to know how to pose, and your children certainly don't need to sit still.
I'll guide you throughout the session with simple prompts and games designed to get everyone interacting naturally. This could be explore, play, have a cuddle, tickle each other, walk together or simply stop for a quiet moment.
The aim isn't to manufacture perfect moments - it's to create an environment where the real ones happen naturally, in a fun and relaxed way.

FAQ'S
What if my children don't behave?
Don't worry - sometimes children being their natural selves is the funniest memories of all. We can work around energy levels, bad nights - keep the session light and fun.
What should we wear for family photos?
Choose clothes that you feel comfortable and confident in - and that reflect your family personality. Coordinating doesn't mean everyone needs to match - neutral tones, soft colours and complementary textures can work beautifully together.
How long does a family photography session take?
All sessions are 90 minutes. Anything longer and everyone starts to feel the camera fatigue and we lose the energy.
Can we include grandparents?
Ofcourse!
What happens if my child doesn't want to participate?
That's absolutely fine - we'll keep going and perhaps try unsuspecting ways to coax them back in.
